ABOUT LATTY, OHIO
The Village of Latty is located in northwest Ohio in the county of Paulding. With a population of approximately 165 residents, Latty is a small but thriving town. The village is centrally located within the Wayne Trace Local School District, and children attend Payne Elementary School before continuing on to Wayne Trace High School for their education.

Two railroads once crossed in Latty, the Cincinnati Northern and the Nickel Plate Railroads. The town was formerly a very thriving lumber town with the Eagle Stave Works and two hotels due to the business from the railroads.

The Village of Latty also has a rich sports history as the longtime home of the Latty Lions - a baseball program that is still operating to this day. Currently, the village also hosts Latty softball (which was restarted in 2022), Wayne Trace Junior High softball, and Wayne Trace flag football for first through fourth graders.

Latty was incorporated and named for Judge Alexander S. Latty, an early settler.
Electricity arrived in Latty.
Latty started a volunteer fire department.
The Latty School joined with Haviland to become part of the Wayne Trace Local Schools.
